The King and Queen is a genuinely cosy pub with a working fireplace and the kind of warm, unhurried atmosphere that makes it immediately pleasant. It no longer has its own kitchen but frequently hosts food trucks and pop-ups that provide excellent food options, giving the pub a flexibility and variety that dedicated kitchens can’t always match. The drinks selection is excellent, and the whole experience has a genuine, characterful quality.
